Dear Comrade Harpal,
I recently read of your decision to step down as Chairman of the CPGB-ML. I am writing to you to express my appreciation of the outstanding job you have achieved as prestigious Chairman of the CPGB-ML and your outstanding work in the science of Marxism-Leninism over many decades which have been of inestimable value to the British communist and proletarian movement.
With the formation of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist Leninist) in 2004 the British communist/proletarian struggle underwent a qualitative change. Like in my home country, Britain had been subjected to years of bankruptcy and distortion by multitudes of revisionist/Trotskyist rabbles who sowed mass confusion and despondency among the proletariat. Tragically, the name ‘Communist Party’ had come to represent backwardness in the application of Marxism-Leninism. Now, however, all that has changed. The title of Communist Party, as represented by the CPGB-ML, once again belongs to a collective of Marxist-Leninists steeled in its science and ruthlessly combatting capitalist imperialism and the fight against all forms of opportunism and adhering to the critical tenets of Leninism such as democratic centralism, which is often the first victim of degenerated ‘communist’ parties. And you Comrade Brar have been pivotal in this glorious resurrection. Without your tireless work on raising the consciousness of proletarians to study Marxist-Leninist science and to master it, all practical activity leading the working-class to socialism would have stumbled into one blind alley after another.
I myself Comrade am living proof of my above assertions. When I was a young Communist I had much enthusiasm to destroy capitalism but it wasn’t until I read, and re-read your works, and elevated that reading to studying, was I able to direct my day-to-day political activity to the correct paths. From reading your wonderful works it became glaringly obvious that the works of our immortal Comrades Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hoxha, etc. were more than simply books to gather dust on a library shelf, but were living, breathing guides to action that lead to socialist revolution. For that Comrade Harpal, I owe you gratitude that I could never adequately express in words.
Even though you have stepped down from your position I am sure you will continue to guide and work for the CPGB-ML and the British proletariat in whatever fashion you see fit. While Britain is your country, in the truest tradition of proletarian internationalism, you have immeasurably assisted the working-class struggles in many corners of this vast world, including here in far away Australia. That is your greatest service to the international proletariat. I am sure my praise makes you uncomfortable Comrade but I must speak from my heart.
I send you the mightiest Red Salute Comrade Harpal and wish you only happiness and good health for the future. You have earned it!
