BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – The Islamic State’s (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) reign over the town of Hajin is nearing its end as the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue to advance through the terrorist group’s defenses.
Backed by heavy airstrikes from the U.S.-led Coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces are currently advancing from the Hawamah District in northern part of Hajin towards the town-center.
Video footage below from Hajin shows the Syrian Democratic Forces positioned near the Hawamah Mosque, which is a site Daesh claimed the former had not captured:

Despite the progress, these advances have proven costly for the Syrian Democratic Forces, as they have suffered dozens of casualties trying to fracture Daesh’s lines inside of Hajin.
At the same time, Daesh themselves have suffered heavy casualties inside of Hajin, which could prove to be the deciding factor later in the battle as their manpower numbers continue to sink.
