A potentially career-ending scandal has engulfed Turkey’s Islamist president after a video showing him leaving an Istanbul gay sauna went viral on YouTube, garnering over a million views within a day.
The video report, by Turkish-German investigative journalist Oskar Osman, clearly captures President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan – a vocal critic of homosexuality – leaving the rear exit of Hiyar Hamam nursing a noticeable limp. He is then whisked away in a waiting black SUV.
The bombshell exposé also features the testimony of Mehmed, a former bathhouse employee, who tipped off Osman as to Erdogan’s movements. According to Mehmed, Erdogan – who makes monthly late-night visits to the bathhouse and dons a mask when he enters to protect his identity – usually plays dominant to chained Kurds pretending to be PKK militants, as well as central European twinks (“Austro-Hungarian pigs, I’ll show you whose cannon is the biggest”).
The Turkish president, however, does occasionally submit to his ultimate fantasy: being double penetrated by bearded bears dressed up as full-blown Islamic fundamentalist leaders like ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi. “Take it bitch, take it deep in your pseudo-democratic, NATO pussy,” Mehmed recalls hearing one night.
After being raided by police, Hiyar Hamam’s owners labeled the video report a “vicious fabrication,” and Erdogan, who has since ordered YouTube blocked across Turkey, vowed to “fight this seditious attempt by the West to smear me and my god-fearing nation.”
Mehmed, for one, is now safe in Berlin, after German Chancellor Angela Merkel granted his emergency asylum request. “If they shut down one sauna, raid ten bars, imprison 100 gays, it’ll still be worth it,” says Mehmed at the end of the video. “Let all Turks know what a cock-hungry, loose-assed hypocrite our president is.”
