Israel has carried out several bombing raids across Gaza killing at least 14 people over the past 48 hours. Israel is stating that the bombing is in response to the attacks on an Israeli convoy heading for Eilat. However, Israel fails to disclose the number of attacks it regularly launches against the civilians in Gaza. In the previous week alone (prior to the convoy attack), Israeli forces:

Killed two Palestinians, including a mentally disabled child in the Gaza Strip.

Wounded 4 Palestinians, including a child, in the Gaza Strip.

Bombarded a number of civilian targets in the Gaza Strip causing irreparable damage.

Attacked Palestinian fishermen and fishing boats in the Gaza Strip and wounded one Palestinian fisherman. These men risk their lives on a daily basis just by venturing out to sea to fish in order to sustain their families.

Contact your local MP and the Foreign Secretary William Hague calling for pressure to be put on Israel to stop its aggression.

Express your concern about the bombing.

State that on a weekly basis Israel attacks Gaza and kills civilians including children. Statistics can be accessed on the Palestine Center for Human Rights web site.

Over 14 people have been killed in Gaza, including a 2 year old and 5 year old child.

Israel’s is not ‘responding’ to what happened at Eilat, it is merely using greater force and violence than it usually does.

Urge them to condemn the disproportionate Israeli actions.
